Charles Sturt University's Faculty of Health Studies is at the leading edge of education and training for the health professions. The Faculty has a particular commitment to health care delivery in regional, rural and remote communities and has collaborative links to The Gilmore Centre at the University.

Short period of study

CSU has recognised the high standard of the Diploma In Medical Assistants Offered by the Malaysian Ministry Of Health Malaysia by giving two years of credit towards the three year Bachelor of Health Sciences (Pre Hospital Care) course. With 18 months of part -time study it will be possible to complete the requirements for this degree.

The Bachelor of Health Science (Pre Hospital Care) course is designed to suit busy, working officers. Upon commencing each new session of study there will be face-to-face lectures given by visiting staff from Charles Sturt University. This will be supplemented by tutorial support to assist you with the study material and assignments. Each teaching session will approximately four to five months in duration.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

Diploma in Medical Assistant approved by Malaysian Health Ministry or equivalent

Registration with the Medical Assistant Board of Malaysian Health Ministry

Currently practising as a Registered Medical Assistant

Minimum 2 years working experience as Medical Assistant

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION

The medium of instruction for the program is English
